Santa Fe Pop Warner Board Meeting March 10, 2009 Called to order by Joe Szymanski at 6:30 pm. In attendance: Joe Szymanski, Dawn Szymanski, Heather Swanson, Elena Mayo, Bill Lang, Diane Lang, Pearl Barber, Vance Amos, Jennifer Talton, Julie Gay, Chuck Talton. Review of Treasure Report: Motion to accept: Elena Mayo, 2nd Pearl Barber. Motion to approve last meeting minutes: Diane, 2nd Vance Amos/Pearl Barber Old Business: Amber Gift: Diane would get gift package: mani, pedi and massage. Up to $200. Equipment Status: Truck is coming next week to pick up. New company, better price. Baker Sports is new company. Golf Tournament: Meeting with Jeff on Saturday March 14th. Have tournament at end of June. Website: Database for football almost done. Cheer – just received data. Merchant account still needs to be linked. Needs Scholarship Form to post – Elena to email to Vance. Can set up an automatic email/phone tree to call players. Can put a countdown clock on website with countdown to last day to get reduced fee. Coach Update: Football has no new applicants from websit or rec center. We need 6. Cheer has 3, maybe 4. USA Football Clinic: All football coaches, yearly, online. May – June. Football has a 2 day coaching clinic – 2 year certification Cheer has a 3 year certification. Registration: Packet was reviewed. Dawn is to email Heather copy of packet for files. New Business: Volunteer Hours: If you do not do what is required then lose privilege for scholarship the following year. Ideas for how to chose scholarships: returning players? Income based. July 11th: Need to have physical and report cards turned in. Banner announcing league signups to go up on the overpass on May 2nd . Flyers need to go out to schools in April and May. After Spring break. Coaches need to be at board meetings. Once nominated as a coach – required to show up. There is no date set yet for Coaches Conference for Putnam County. Contact Alachua County Schools to get approval to put flyer in Friday Folder. – Vance volunteered to contact schools. Elementary, Middle in High Springs, Alachua, West Gainesville and Newberry. Cost of Sponsorships: League Fees: $780 for one team (FB & cheer) Platinum Sponsor: $1500 banner on top of Santa Fe Website for 1 year w/link to own site, ½ page ad in program, individual sponsor banner at home field Gold Sponsor: $800 name on team jersey, name on Gold Sponsor banner on home field, name on team website for 1 year w/link, ¼ page ad in program, name on rotating ad on Santa Fe Pop Warner home page w/link Silver Sponsor: $500 play of the week sponsor for 1 week during season w/ link to your website, name on silver sponsor banner on home field, ¼ page ad in program, name on rotating ad on Santa Fe Pop Warner home pagew/link Bronze Sponsor: $250 name listed on back of girls tshirt (not uniform), name on cheer team website w/link, name mentioned in program. Fundraising Ideas: punt/kick/pass competition, yard sale, bake sale on sign up days (everyone agreed) Get sign up sheet to help with sign ups on Saturdays Heather to get notary.
